House Drawings in Graphite Pencil
This house illustration was commissioned by a client in Ireland in January 2010 as a birthday gift for her boyfriend. She provided me with two photographs of the cottage and I prepared two mock-ups for her to choose from. It was a medium size drawing on 40 x 30cm paper using graphite pencils ranging from HB to 6B. The drawing was mounted in a cream mount with backing board and posted ready for framing.

Client Photograph
The client provided me with two photographs originally and chose to use a front elevation drawing. There was only a few adjustments made including removal of cables above the house. The background was kept white with some existing foliage and trees behind the house.
Drawing in Progress and Finished Drawing
Below is a progress photograph taken during the drawing process together with an image of the finished mounted drawing. The house illustration was mounted in a cream mount with backing board and carefully wrapped before posting. The drawing was sprayed with artist fixative for long lasting durability of the pencil and the client received it ready for framing.
